Garcia welcomes Wetlands International Philippines

Vice Gov. Cris Garcia warmly welcomed representatives of Wetlands International Philippines to the province. The global non-profit organization recently came to Bataan to promote mangrove restoration and ask local leaders to develop policies on wetland conservation and management.

Garcia, together with Provincial Environment and Natural Resources OIC Raphael De Leon and Bataan Peninsula State University Orani Campus Director Digna De Guzman met representatives of the organization headed by Coastal Wetlands Project Manager Jocel Pangilinan and discussed potential sites in Bataan for mangrove restoration and conservation.

De Leon also kept Wetlands International Philippines representatives abreast of the current environmental programs of the provincial government.
